SoCal is a collective noun for the people and culture of Southern California. SoCal is home to some of the most exciting, radical, and innovative things that any part of American society has ever seen. It is an extremely ethnically diverse area with a population exceeding 18 million people, making it one of the largest metropolitan regions in North America. SoCal is known to be an extremely creative place, not only culturally but in the business world as well. There are a many renowned companies in SoCal who have made a name for themselves over the past decades.
Things to do in SoCal
1. Disneyland
This amusement park is a household name for families all over the world. Located in Anaheim, California, it’s only about 2 hours from the most populated areas of Los Angeles County. Disneyland features a variety of rides and attractions for all ages. It’s a great place to spend quality family time or just to have fun with friends.
2. Highway 1
The highway takes you through many beautiful coastal areas and small towns where you can spend your days kayaking on the water or hiking up to some scenic look outs. It stretches almost the entire length of California so it’s pretty easy to find at least one part of this road that you hadn’t discovered before if you’re planning on taking a trip in SoCal.
3. Disneyland Discoveryland
This is a small, privately owned park that has attractions that are perfect for the entire family. They have done their best to be as green and eco-friendly as possible which also helps save on your spending money.
4. Disney’s California Adventure Park
This park is located next to Disneyland so you may want to do both of them in one day if you’re feeling ambitious! This park features a section called Cars Land which is based on the movies made by Disney Pixar.
